Lazar-us Denying

Dan Lazar at Writers House had a so-called vague (but negative) reaction to my novel a few years ago. He said, "...it just didn't grab me 100%...I'm obviously not the right champion for this project, but you're definitely a talent, and I have no doubt another agent will soon snap this project up." I don't know about soon, but he was right that I did get an agent who loved the book and I am reworking it.

Is it my imagination, or do women editors/agents want to fall in love with manuscripts and men want to be "grabbed" by them?

Wait, so WR has an agent? Did I miss the news? Or was I laboring under a false impression? Either way, congratulations.

Yes, is there news? It sounds like there's some good news!

Is he related to the famous Swifty, or do all agents have to take the last name "Lazar"? Sounds reasonable; I'd do it.
