No Whining Zone

If you're looking to contain your whiny rejected self, check out these rules.  I like this one in particular: "I'm actually a pretty upbeat person with a slightly inappropriate sense of humor. I have a 24 hour rule about rejection and whining in general." Imagine, only whining for 24 hours! I'm going to give it a whirl.

I just got rejected by Crazyhorse today, or at least I think I did. I didn't receive an email from them, but my story is marked "declined" on their submission manager. Oh well. The whole 24-hour rule is nice, but I really wanted to write tonight. Maybe I can make it a 2-hour rejection rule. Sometimes I find it hard to write immediately after I get a rejection, but they come so fast and furious I don't think I can afford to sulk a whole day every time I get turned down.

Native Ink, thanks for the heads up on Crazyhorse. I actually thought I was getting past the first round of readers, but nope! They're just too lazy to turn on the AUTOMATED email system. C'mon people, is it really that hard to set the program to do the work for you?
