I found these rejections on the web posted by Tim Love. They reminded me of something. Give some writers an inch of encouragement and they will go the full mile. (Self included.) Alas.
Christ, the last one says "felt the dialogue was awkward at times." I can distinctly recall being an undergrad and having to workshop other students' stories and writing that EXACT thing, just because we had to have both positive and negative comments.
Ah, the always beloved "we really liked this but ..." letter. I used to tell my wife that I was spending all my time entertaining editors and slush pile readers for free.
