Okay, so, hate to be a comic critic, but WHY does it have to be the Grim Reaper? Why not just a writer? If the Grim Reaper kills someone, it's not murder, is it?
Hmm, I thought it was kind of cute. And I think the whole joke is dependent on the writer being the GR because when he "showed" the editor what kind of murder mystery it would be, it meant he actually accidentally killed the editor, no?
Wouldn't it be funnier if the reaper showed no remorse? I mean, wouldn't that be an extension of the fantasy most rejected writers hold close to our little hearts?
