Reading Group Ettiquette

The submitter of this rejection is in a reading group with the four editors and still gets rejected in a perfunctory manner, such as this:
Thank you for your submissions. Unfortunately, we will not be publishing your work. We wish you all the best in your future creative endeavors and hope you will submit work for consideration for our next issue. We will reopen in September 2011. Best wishes, HRR Staff

    well I do understand the need for a clique within a school setting I just wish rejections were more personal and friendly.

    maybe One day I'll success as-well in academic.
    fame and connections come first it's just the natural way of life.

  2. I wish they were A little more open to students ,thats all.
    some of us are still learning but we have good ideas.

    I may have sucked used bad grammar
    but I mean this isn't The new yorker so rejection should be personal.

    I wonder if I could start my own journal with student in mind with developing talents?

    Well, to be fair, if you can't spell the word "college" and don't know it's different from the word "collage," maybe writing isn't your calling. I hear K-mart is hiring.
