All Story All The Time

Zoetrope remains an enigma to me. Does your story have to seem like it would make a good movie? Not sure.  Anyway, here's a rejection sent in by a very industrious mouse who submits stories all the time.

  1. They need semi-recognizable authors because they don't just want to sell copies to institutions. It's like Glimmer Train and Tin House, don't even bother unless you've published a book or are a tenured creative writing professor at a decent school. If I was a publisher, I'd probably do the same.

I haven't observed that ZA-S publishes mostly stories that could be adapted for the screen. It's a good mix of interesting stuff though.

The last issue of Glimmer Train I saw had four first stories in it. Tin House seems to be that way, though.

most I add that if I published books, so successful, then why would need magazines anymore?
