And how true they are.

Maybe if the individual in the cartoon wasn't thinking about herself all the time she'd actually get out into the world and have a few experiences worth writing about. Or say she has plenty to write about (after all she has survived childhood, right, Flannery?): maybe her life would be better if she just did some damn thing besides wait. If you are a failed (-ing) or undiscovered writer--who really cares?! Get out there and do something! Have sex! Climb a mountain! Write something else! Please, for the love of Pete do not indulge in these kinds of behaviors. For very long.

If the cartoon depicted a man, I bet Steve would feel pathos rather than disdain. Anyway, you miss the point intentionally, Steve, I guess so you can make your own point. Still, not good form.

The cartoon would not be funny any more if she was climbing a mountain. I'd be ok with a cartoon of her having sex. But really Steve, cartoons are supposed to be funny, not preachy. This is what happened to South Park, and now it sux.
